This Privacy Policy explains what information Huelix (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects when you use our website, decoder, and reports (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Huelix you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, and a display name if you provide one, when you create an account or sign in.
- Content you provide — the color values (hex codes), brand names, industry, audience, and similar inputs you enter to generate an analysis, plus any palettes or reports you choose to save.
- Payment information — when you buy a report, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We store a Stripe customer identifier and the status of your purchase so we can deliver what you bought.
- Marketing consent — whether you opted in to marketing email, and when, so we have a record of your consent.
- Technical data — basic information your browser sends (such as general device and request information) and the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in.
2. How we use your information
- to provide the Service, including generating and saving your reports;
- to process payments and deliver the reports you purchase;
- to send transactional email (such as sign-in, receipts, and your report link);
- to send marketing email only if you have opted in — you can unsubscribe anytime;
- to secure, maintain, and improve the Service;
- to comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the Service and reports), with your consent (marketing email), and for our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Huelix, under agreements that protect it:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting;
- Vercel — application hosting;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Resend — sending email.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Huelix, our users, or others.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use these for advertising. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide any required notice or choice.
6. Data retention
We keep your account information and saved palettes and reports for as long as your account is active, and as needed to provide the Service. We keep records related to purchases and consent as required for legal, accounting, and audit purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data (see “Your rights”).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete personal information and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. To exercise any of these rights, email support@huelix.co. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any such email.
8. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, row-level access controls so users can only access their own data, and restricted server-side access to sensitive operations. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.
9. International transfers
We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.
10. Children
Huelix is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
